The point I was trying to make is that quite a few parents would try to talk their little girl out of a play castle because they would assume that was only for boys. I’m just thanking mine for not being that way.
I’m in the mood for a gender stereotype rant and stopped to look up some of the toys I had as a kid.
When all the other girls had Barbies and prams I had this motherfucker.
I mean look at it. It’s twisted as shit it has all these trapdoors and dungeons. And the cannon dropped down out of the fucking wall and shot cannon balls at enemies.
And in the grand scheme of things you would probably then and now classify me as quite ‘girly’.

I have a large collection of books and I am moving soon and sadly cannot take most of my books with me.

Tumbling over the past year and a half has made me see the problems of gender roles that exist in media, but sometimes it gets to the point where I over analyze every single piece of television or film that I come across. (However this in no way means that I think feminist media criticism is wrong, or should be avoided!) Mostly I just over think everything.
This is awesome!
